A large number of my entire recordings have been made on the Greek island of Crete in recent years. I've been going there regularly since 2014.

A much-appreciated photographer and meanwhile good friend lives there: Rainer Gillessen.

He is a master of "natural light". His way of creating pictures has its own character and distinguishes him as a photographer. The locations   for taking photos on the island are very unusual, sometimes breathtaking and with a mystical touch. Since access to the individual places is often very hidden and sometimes difficult, taking photos becomes an emotional overall experience. For the photographer as well as for the model and everyone involved. I was able to learn a lot from Rainer during my stays on the island and I am very grateful to him for that. In the meantime, he endures, mostly very patiently, my sometimes colorful pictures.
